We are proud to present this product in support of this special project spearheaded by Silaiwali, a social enterprise group in India, and plan to collaborate further with them in the future to expand on this very good cause.
These unique rag dolls are made by displaced Afghan refugees in India, using recycled fabrics which are remnant cut-outs from garment factories.
Each piece is individually handmade – from cutting, sewing and embroidery – and is packed in a cardboard box with its own doll pillow and blanket. Given its story, there will be subtle variations from piece to piece.
This is definitely a unique gift or collectors item.
